Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest and sole daughter of Richard McCormick in 1956 - was born at Woodland Hills (California) on 5 August. Her parents were an unemployed mother who worked as household worker and father who worked as a teacher. Michael, Dennis, and Kevin are her three elder brothers. McCormick began singing and dancing in her early years and would often perform puppet shows in front of the children from her neighborhood. In the age of six, she was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. This led her to receive a telephone call to Pat Domigan at the Jack Wormser Agency inquiring whether she would be interested in pursuing a career in the field of entertainment. McCormick was hired for her first big role at the age of 64. McCormick appeared in a Mattel commercial featuring an adorable doll named Baby Pattaburp. In the same year, she appeared in a commercial for"Chatty Catherine," Mattel's newest doll "Chatty Catherine" doll, and she was later cast in the show called Wind It up And It Breaks. McCormick was the eldest of three daughters who had two heads on the TV sitcom The Brady Bunch. Florence Henderson was the star as well as Robert Reed was the father. The five-year run of the show was a successful one. McCormick stated in her 2008 memoir, Here's The Story Alive: Resurrecting Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she nearly lost her virginity during the fifth season with Barry Williams, her co-star and onscreen brother. He was 19 years old. He was 16. The possibility was there according to her. "But the time for us wasn't right."
